Gosh, it seems as though I have been dead!

Well, I haven’t: just busy.

Here’s an update of things I have been doing.

Fixing My Computer

The modded BIOS that I installed worked great, except for one small problem: ACPI was extremely buggy.  My computer refused to sleep or hibernate.  So, after several long chats with the creator of the BIOS, lubner10, we finally got it fixed by using a similar, but slightly newer BIOS.  So, now my computer runs quite fast with all these nice parts.  I think it may be a few more years until I build another one.
I think I may make a page about the computers I own.
I have also been reinstalling and reconfiguring all of the software that I had installed before.  I installed Vista onto another partition in my main hard drive because I didn’t want to keep unplugging the data cable from them to plug into my spare hard drive.  Vista coexists quite nicely with XP.  Word on the street, however, is don’t uninstall it.

Gaming
Well, when you buy a beautiful new graphics card, what’s the best way to test it out?  Gaming, of course!  I have been playing Halo, Armagetron Advanced, Onimusha 3, and Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper.  They all run very well on my computer, even with the highest settings.  I should install UT2004 and see how that goes.

Programming
I have been programming my eyes out, too.  I released the Sandbox several days ago.  This program is a single directory filemanager for programmers.  It allows them to write software on the road without having to worry about anything else.  I got inspiration for this from the CPanel filemanager.  Although it is extremely powerful, it’s also very bloated and the editor is horrible.  So, I wrote my own from scratch, getting rid of directories and creating a better editor.  In fact, the editor automatically fills up the entire size of the window (a bug on IE prevents this, however) and has autosave support as well!  Everything is packaged into just 3 files.  Personally, I would describe it as one of my better programs.
Another piece of software that I have been working on is the Picturebox, a spin-off of the Sandbox.  This program actually has support for multiple directories.  You specify the base directory (say /pictures/) and it will only allow you to go into that directory and any sub-directories.  It has support for making new folders, uploading pictures, and deleting pictures.  I plan to combine the directory system that I designed with the Picturebox with the power of the Sandbox to make a multiple directory filemanager one day.  The Picturebox has not yet been released due to the fact that I still have some workarounds that need to be better written.

Vista-ing?
I have been playing around with Windows Vista a lot.  I will now leave you with a few screenshots of it on my beautiful dual-monitor desktop.
